Engagi Lodge has been built to maximise the impact of the surrounding forest, with the main area deliberately open on all sides for expansive views over the canopy. The lodge is small – eight simple cottages built from local stone and thatch, spread out throughout the grounds which stretch down to the Munyaga River – feel free to wander the grounds during your downtime, or sit out on your private verandah and look out for passing wildlife. The Bwindi park headquarters are only a few kilometres away, so it is ideally placed for gorilla trekking activities.
