Day 12
Day at leisure. You can do as much or as little as you please today although we highly recommend taking a breath and having a rest on your first full day. Perhaps have a chat with the staff of the hotel to see what they recommend for activities over the coming days. Zanzibar is not only a beautiful island paradise but is also full of interesting activities, history and culture.
Day 13
We recommend a visit to a spice farm during your stay on Zanzibar, something the island is famous for. While the experience can be a little touristy it is fascinating to see how and where the different spices are grown and you get to touch, feel and smell as you are guided around.
Day 14
There are many sea-based activities on offer in Zanzibar from wind-surfing, kite-boarding and snorkelling, to diving and sailing; if water sports are your thing do let us know and we will make suggestions for you. Alternatively, simply do nothing - the choice is yours!
Day 15
Another day on the beach to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
Day 16
Final morning on the beach before you are picked up today and taken to the airport for your flights back to the UK (there are day and night flights available).

Combining Ugandan wildlife and Tanzanian beach time gives a fantastic combination of active exploration, safari and well-earned relaxation. We suggest overnighting in Entebbe before heading into the forest to trek with the chimpanzees of Kibale. From here, the Queen Elizabeth National Park provides a more classical safari experience and then you round off Uganda with a mesmerising trek through the tropical rainforest to spend time with the gorillas.
You fly back to Entebbe for an overnight stay before continuing your journey onto Zanzibar, where you will overnight in historic Stone Town before finishing your trip in style on the beaches. There are a host of hotels to choose from in Zanzibar ranging from larger all-inclusive properties to smaller more intimate boutique style hotels.
