Bakers Lodge is the newest and most luxurious lodge in Murchison Falls National Park. OPerated by Wild Frontiers one of the biggest benefits for guests staying at Bakers Lodge is that it has an on-site jetty so guests can head straight from the lodge into boats onto the river to explore. The ten thatched suites overlook the River Nile, with uninterrupted views from the rooms and soundtrack provided by hippos and copious birdife. The main area is surrounded by raised wooden decking and decorated in the same way as the rooms with a thatched roof and solid wooden furniture. The lodge takes it’s eco lodge credentials seriously – water is solar heated, and the lighting is provided by solar lanterns in the evenings. Before dinner guests are encouraged to congregate around the firelit boma, before heading to candlelit tables by the river to back to the main deck for a scrumptious three course meal.
